There's plenty of people I need to thank for getting me here. Firstly, there is Allah (SWT), for without him I would never have been able to conceive myself of doing a senior project in the first place, and I certainly would have no idea how to get through it either.
A great thank you to the staff at Michigan Islamic Academy for their contributions: Ms. Sebik, my advisor for the project who tirelessly worked to keep my paper in check and provided me with everything I needed to tackle this project. Sr. Fayzeh, who had me reach out to the Muslim Michigan Community Council in regards to my product, causing Capital Day 2020 for MIA to occur in the first place. Sr. Hamidah, who gave me some advice on starting up my paper. volunteered to help in any way possible, and collaborated to formulate the field trip. Sr. Fatima, whose indirect contribution (by telling me everything she had to say on learning about our government) gave me the inspiration for this project. Not only that, but she also collaborated in forming the field trip. I also thank the other seniors who toiled with me throughout the year and gave their own thoughts about my project.
Concerning the MMCC, I thank my mentor, Br. Muzammil, for being my intermediary to the group, and for assisting me in bringing Michigan Islamic Academy to Capitol Day 2020 for my product. Without him, I probably would have been unsure of what I was doing and uncomfortable with working alongside the MMCC.
Much thanks to my family, who checked on me to make sure I stayed on task.
And thank you, the judges, for having the patience to read and listen to all of this.
